About Minnesota Vikings IO
An independent site written by supporters, for supporters.
This is an independent fan site, built by supporters. We are not the Minnesota Vikings or the NFL, and we have no official connection to them. Team names and logos belong to their respective owners.
Our mission
We follow one team closely and try to cover it properly. That means a clear schedule you can actually read, box scores you can scan in a few seconds, standings that show where Minnesota sits in the division and the conference, and writing that explains what happened rather than just repeating it.
Plenty of coverage is built for people who already watched the game. We wanted something that works just as well for a supporter catching up on a Monday morning, or someone abroad trying to work out which channel is carrying the game.
Who runs the site
Minnesota Vikings IO is an independent fan site run by Vikings supporters. It is not owned, sponsored, approved or reviewed by the Minnesota Vikings, the NFL, any broadcaster or any betting company. Nothing on the site is official club or league communication.
Who writes the articles
Articles carry the byline Minnesota Vikings IO Staff. That byline means the piece was written and edited by the team that runs the site, and that the site as a whole takes responsibility for it. We use a shared byline rather than individual names; it does not stand for a newsroom or a company.
If we publish a piece from an outside contributor, it is credited to that person by name, with their consent. See Write for Us for how that works.
How content is produced and sourced
- Written articles such as analysis, features, history and guides are researched and written by hand. They link to their sources inline, so you can check where a fact or figure came from.
- Automated game pages. Some game previews, recaps and score pages in the schedule and news sections are generated automatically from ESPN game data and the site’s own schedule feed. Numbers on those pages update as that data changes.
- Game pages are built around the box score, so the numbers come first and the commentary sits beside them.
- We say plainly when something is a projection, a prediction or an opinion rather than a result.

Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it on the page rather than quietly deleting it, and significant corrections are noted on the page. To report an error, use the contact form and choose “Report a correction”, or email hello@minnesotavikings.io with the page address.
Independence
Nobody pays for coverage here. We do not publish sponsored posts, sell links, or accept payment from the club, the league, agents, retailers or betting operators in exchange for coverage. Odds and predictions on the site are for information only; read our disclaimer for details.
