Jones passed 1,000 rushing yards during Minnesota's Week 16 game at Seattle. He became the third player to reach 1,000 rushing yards in his first Vikings season, following Chester Taylor in 2006 and Adrian Peterson in 2007.

Off the field
Jones was born in Savannah, Georgia, and spent parts of his childhood in several locations because both of his parents served in the United States Army.
He played at UTEP alongside his twin brother, Alvin. Jones later partnered with his brother to establish the A&A All the Way Foundation, which supports children through charitable programmes and events.
The Vikings selected Jones as their 2024 nominee for the Salute to Service Award and Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award. During the 2025 offseason, he participated in an NFL and USO tour visiting United States service members in Kuwait.
