The two teams also meet earlier in the season, so use the Minnesota Vikings schedule if you are looking for the other meeting rather than this one.

This week
Before Sunday, choose how you will watch
“I already have NBC”
NBC is the listed broadcaster, so the game should appear on your local NBC station. Local affiliates differ by market, so find the channel number for your own area rather than assuming a national one, then look up the 20 December listing to confirm the station is carrying the game and not a regional alternative. Check as well that NBC is actually included in your television package; some cut-price cable and satellite tiers drop local networks.
Several providers also let subscribers sign in to a network app with their television account. Whether that applies to you depends on your provider and your package, so follow the current instructions on your provider's own help pages before relying on it for kickoff.
If you use an antenna instead, reception of a local NBC signal depends on your distance from the transmitter, your aerial and your surroundings. Test the channel well before Sunday rather than on the night.
“I need a streaming option”
Peacock carries Sunday Night Football, which is the slot this fixture occupies. Peacock is a paid service: check on its official NFL page which subscription tier includes live NFL coverage, what it costs and whether your device is supported, and do that before you pay rather than afterwards. Plan names and prices change, so read the current page rather than an older summary.
As checked on 11 September 2026, Peacock's plans page advertised Premium at US$12.99 a month, including live sport and Sunday Night Football. Select excludes sport, and Premium Plus also includes it, so the higher tier is not needed for this game alone. Check that the billing period covers 20 December, when the next payment falls and how cancellation works. Not every promotional or third-party Peacock account carries the same entitlement. NFL Sunday Ticket excludes national broadcasts, so it is not a route to this game.
“I want captions or Spanish commentary”
On Peacock, pause playback to reveal the controls, move to the speech-bubble Audio & Subtitles control, pick a subtitle option and allow up to 30 seconds for captions to appear, per the official subtitle instructions. Caption size, font and colour can be changed in account settings. If captions are missing, report it through Peacock's help with the programme, device, date and time. Watching NBC through another provider? Use that provider's or television's caption settings.
Telemundo Deportes' 2026 Spanish coverage includes the Sunday Night Football schedule across Telemundo/Universo and Peacock, but the exact channel and Spanish event listing for this game still need checking nearer the date. Spoken commentary and subtitles are separate settings, and changing an app's interface language does not change the game audio. For Spanish radio, the Vikings listed Tico Sports on WREY 94.9 FM and 630 AM for the September opener; confirm the station in this game's announcement.
Sunday morning
On game day, get your screen ready
- Confirm the fixture still shows the same broadcaster and the same start time.
- Open the television listing, or the official streaming app, on the device you will actually watch on.
- Sign in and check that your account can open this event, not just the service.
- Find the live broadcast tile before kickoff rather than during it.
Do the last two on the television you plan to use. An account that works in a phone browser does not automatically work on a smart TV, a streaming stick or a games console, and casting from a phone is a separate permission again. Our today's Vikings game details page is a quick way to re-check the fixture on the morning itself. These are preparation steps, not a guarantee about any particular device or account.
Kickoff
At kickoff, use the right local time
Both times are the scheduled kickoff for the same game. Televised coverage usually starts before the ball does: build-up, analysis and the pre-game show can occupy the half hour or more before kickoff, and the programme start time in your listings may therefore be earlier than the times above. Check the programme time separately if you want the whole broadcast.
Outside the US
Watching Lions at Vikings in the UK
Sunday Night Football starts after midnight in Britain, so put Monday 21 December in your diary. Sky Sports' current agreement includes Sunday Night Football; check your subscription and Sky's dated programme listing. NFL Game Pass on DAZN is a separate package, and a general DAZN account is not proof you have it. DAZN's weekly UK blackout of two selected Sunday afternoon games does not apply to night games, so this fixture is not caught by it as currently scheduled. Watching after breakfast instead? DAZN describes full-length and condensed Game in 40 replays within up to 24 hours of the live feed ending, so check the replay listing before assuming a version is ready. More countries are covered in the hub's international section.
If it goes wrong
If the broadcast will not load
Check the date first, since guides often open on the current day rather than the one you want. Then check that you are on the right channel for your own market, and compare what you see against the official fixture listing before assuming the broadcast has moved.
That usually means the event sits outside your current plan or the account is not signed in on that device. Open the provider's own plan and account pages and follow their current guidance; do not buy an upgrade from a third-party prompt.
Check the provider's published list of supported devices, then fall back to one that is on it. If you cannot get video working in time, the Vikings radio network carries the game as audio commentary, which is a different thing from a video stream: see the where to watch hub for the current radio details.
Afterwards
After the final whistle
Official highlights normally appear on the club and league channels within a short time of the finish, and they are the safest place to look first. A full replay is a separate question: whether one is available, how soon it appears and whether it needs a subscription all depend on the provider, and being able to watch live does not mean you can watch it again later. Check the provider's own replay or on-demand pages before assuming the game will be waiting for you.
When you are done, the schedule shows what comes next.
