Find the right channel for any game

The network changes from week to week, but the method does not. Take the broadcaster from the schedule, then let your own dated programme listing settle whether your station is showing Minnesota. Everything in this section describes viewing in the United States.

Local game or out of market?

A local game is one carried by a television station serving your area. It has nothing to do with whether the Vikings are at home: the same game can be local for one household and out of market for another, depending on each station's assignment.

An out-of-market game is an eligible Sunday afternoon regular-season game that your local stations are not showing. CBS and FOX split their Sunday windows between markets, so a game being "on FOX" somewhere does not mean your FOX station has it. A missing channel in your own subscription is a different problem again, and does not make a game out of market.

Twin Cities station names

Guides often show a station's own name rather than the network. In the Twin Cities market, look for:

CBS
WCCO or WCCO-TV
FOX
FOX 9 or KMSP
NBC
KARE 11

Elsewhere in Minnesota, identify the local station for the assigned network in your own guide. Channel numbers are set by each provider, so search by station or network name rather than a published channel position.

Network by network

CBS
Check the dated entry on the CBS station your provider carries. Paramount+ carries the local CBS NFL game, so it follows your area's assignment rather than offering every fixture.
FOX
The same rule applies to your local FOX station. YouTube's NFL guide lists local FOX in its relevant TV plans and FOX One separately as a Primetime Channel; buying FOX One directly from FOX is its own arrangement with its own terms.
NBC
Sunday Night Football is on NBC and, in the US, on Peacock. Because it is a national broadcast, the usual question is which channel number your provider uses, not whether your market has the game.
ESPN
You need a TV or streaming plan that includes the channel. A general ESPN subscription does not automatically include everything shown on the main channel, so check the individual event.
Prime Video
Read that game's own Prime Video event listing, which states the access required and whether a local simulcast exists.

On the 2026 schedule as checked on 10 September, Bills at Vikings (Monday 9 November) is listed for ESPN and Vikings at Patriots (Thursday 10 December) for Prime Video. Recheck the schedule for flexible-scheduling changes.

Check the listing, not the headline

  • Match the year and date. The Vikings meet division rivals twice a season and have played most teams many times, so a search result, guide entry or replay can be an older meeting that looks current.
  • Pregame shows are separate listings. Build-up programmes start earlier, sometimes on a different channel from the game, so pick the game entry when setting a reminder or recording.
  • Guides show your own time zone. A noon CST kickoff is 1pm EST; a 7.20pm CST night game is 01.20 GMT the next day in the UK.
  • A missing future entry is normal. Many guides do not reach weeks ahead. An absent November listing in September says nothing about carriage and is no reason to buy an out-of-market package early.

Streaming without cable

Streaming services do not change the local-game rule; they deliver it in a different wrapper. Confirm the specific event, your location and your device in your own account before paying, and read prices and renewal terms at the point of purchase.

Live TV streaming packages

  1. 01Choose a live TV streaming service (for example YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV or Fubo).
  2. 02Check that it carries the local station showing the game where you are watching.
  3. 03Open the dated event on the TV, computer, tablet or phone you will actually use.

Already pay for TV? FOX says eligible pay-TV subscribers can sign in with provider credentials, and FOX One supports provider sign-in at no additional cost for qualifying packages. Check that your own package qualifies before buying another service.

Network streaming services

Paramount+
Your local CBS NFL game.
FOX One
Your local FOX game, direct or through YouTube Primetime Channels.
Peacock
Sunday Night Football. Premium and Premium Plus include live sport; Select does not. Premium was advertised at US$12.99 a month when checked on 11 September 2026.
Prime Video
Games assigned to Prime, such as the Thursday 10 December game at New England; check each event listing.

NFL Sunday Ticket and RedZone

Sunday Ticket covers eligible out-of-market Sunday afternoon regular-season games. It excludes games shown on your local channels, national broadcasts, digital exclusives, preseason and the postseason, so it is not a way to buy the whole Vikings season. It answers one situation: your local station has a different game and you want this one.

It can be bought on its own through YouTube Primetime Channels without a YouTube TV plan, or added to YouTube TV. NFL RedZone, which bundles with Sunday Ticket or YouTube TV's Sports Plus route, jumps between every touchdown across the afternoon slate. Seeing the Vikings on RedZone is not access to their individual game feed. See official Sunday Ticket eligibility.

NFL+ and NFL+ Premium

NFL+ streams live local and prime-time regular-season games on phones and tablets only. Those streams cannot be cast to a television, and upgrading to Premium does not lift the restriction. Eligible local and prime-time postseason games follow the same phone-and-tablet rule.

Two things work differently: eligible out-of-market preseason games stream on supported devices including connected TVs, and Premium adds full and condensed game replays across supported devices. A replay working on your TV says nothing about live access on that screen. Details: NFL+ plans.

Preseason, regular season and playoffs

Preseason
Check the Vikings' own viewing notice for the fixture: local viewers may have a club website or app route alongside the local TV broadcast. Outside the local market, check NFL+.
Regular season
Find the broadcaster on the schedule, then your local listing. Afternoon CBS or FOX games on another channel locally may be on Sunday Ticket; night games and exclusives need their assigned broadcaster or service.
Playoffs
Check the assigned broadcaster for that round. Sunday Ticket does not include postseason games. Return to the schedule once each opponent and network is confirmed.

Joining late, recordings and replays

Joining after kickoff

If you want the opening, set the recording before kickoff. Adding a game once it is under way does not automatically recover what has already aired, and whether a service offers a restart depends on the service, the recording and the device. In YouTube TV, tap Add on the event to put it in your library, then choose to start from the beginning, resume or watch live.

Key Plays is an edited route through selected moments, not the full game. On a supported TV, YouTube TV's multiview shows up to four eligible streams: pick the Vikings game as the audio source, press Select to enlarge it and Back to return. Multiview does not add access to games outside your plan.

Full replay, condensed or highlights

Full replay
The complete game as broadcast. In the US, NFL+ Premium.
Condensed
A shorter edit of the same game, also NFL+ Premium. Check the format exists for that fixture.
Highlights
Selected plays, on the team's official highlights videos.

Open replays by season, then opponent, then date, because division rivals meet twice. No release time after the final whistle is promised here. For coaches' and players' media sessions between games, use the Vikings' press conference videos; for series history, see Vikings matchups.

Watching outside the United States

Rights are sold country by country, so no US service above is a worldwide answer. These are the services this site has checked; for anywhere else, check your own country's official broadcaster or NFL Game Pass availability.

  • Europe & elsewhere

    NFL Game Pass

United Kingdom

Sky Sports' agreement includes selected Sunday afternoon games plus Thursday, Sunday and Monday Night Football, so check Sky's NFL listings for the fixture. DAZN sells NFL Game Pass on its own or alongside another DAZN plan; a general DAZN account is not proof of Game Pass access.

Each week DAZN blacks out two selected Sunday afternoon games live in the UK; they arrive on demand 24 hours after finishing. Thursday, Sunday and Monday night games are exempt. Replays come as full-length or condensed Game in 40 versions within up to 24 hours. Note the date: a 7.20pm CST Sunday night kickoff is 01.20 GMT on Monday.

Canada and Australia

Canada: DAZN lists NFL among the sports in its Canadian subscription. Check the Canadian DAZN plans and find the Vikings fixture in the Canadian service rather than using an overseas Game Pass offer.

Australia: DAZN's Australian NFL Game Pass page lists Season Pro and Season Pro Ultimate plans with live and on-demand access, plus full replays, Game in 40 and highlights. Confirm the opponent, date and displayed time zone in the event listing.

As checked on 11 September 2026. Plans and blackout lists change; confirm on the provider's own site.

Travelling, bars and watching with fans

Watching while travelling

Another US state: check the destination's local listing, not your home one. YouTube TV says networks can differ by home area or when travelling, and may ask for your device location; updating the current playback area for a trip is different from changing your home area after a move (YouTube TV location guidance). If the destination's station has another game, Sunday Ticket is the next check.

Abroad: YouTube TV programmes are not available while travelling internationally, so use the local route for that country, such as Game Pass on DAZN in the UK. Confirm the location, the local kickoff date and time, and which account holds the subscription before game day.

Watching at a sports bar

The team's official fans section publishes fan club and watch-party information. Places listed as Vikings bars in other cities include The Graystone Tavern (Chicago), Jack Doyle's (New York) and SKOL Brewing Company (Atlanta, home of the SKOL Atlanta fan group); none has been visited or confirmed by this site. Before you go, ask:

  • Are you showing the Vikings game on that date, with sound?
  • When do doors open, and do we need a reservation, cover charge or minimum spend?
  • Are there age restrictions, accessibility arrangements or group-booking conditions?

Captions, Spanish commentary and radio

Captions

Using Peacock on a television, per its subtitle instructions:

  1. 01Pause playback to reveal the controls.
  2. 02Move to the speech-bubble Audio & Subtitles control and pick a subtitle option.
  3. 03Return to the game and allow up to 30 seconds for captions to appear.

Caption size, font and colour can be changed in Peacock account settings. Report missing captions through Peacock's help with the programme, device, date and time. Watching through a TV provider or antenna? Use that provider's or television's caption settings.

Spanish-language coverage

Telemundo Deportes' 2026 plan includes the Sunday Night Football schedule in Spanish across Telemundo/Universo and Peacock. Match the teams, date and language in the programme guide or event listing once it appears.

Spoken commentary and subtitles are separate choices, and changing an app's interface language does not change the game's audio. If the audio options do not show Spanish, look for a separate Spanish programme listing. For radio, the Vikings' notice for the 2026 opener listed Tico Sports on WREY 94.9 FM and 630 AM; confirm the station in each game's announcement.

En español: busque el partido, confirme la fecha y el idioma del audio. Los subtítulos son una opción distinta.

Vikings radio coverage

Live play-by-play, analysis and interviews run on the Vikings Audio Network, the same network for every game, home or away. In the Twin Cities, the team's affiliate directory lists KFAN 100.3 FM and KTLK AM 1130. Pre-game coverage begins two hours before kickoff.

Stations elsewhere in Minnesota and neighbouring states are in the Vikings Audio Network directory. Online station players carry their own game-day rights, and a radio feed paired with a TV picture may run slightly out of step.

If the game will not play

Start with what is on the screen. A locked event can have more than one cause, so let the provider's actual message establish the restriction before buying anything.

Match the symptom to the first check

Another game
Your local station has a different fixture. Check the dated listing; if Minnesota is not on it, the out-of-market route (Sunday Ticket) applies for eligible Sunday afternoon games.
Locked event
Check the signed-in account, the selected plan and any restriction shown beside the event. Do not buy an upgrade from a third-party prompt.
Location prompt
Complete the service's location check with your real location. Correcting it does not turn a local broadcast into an out-of-market game.
Sunday Ticket says no
The game may be on your local station instead. If the listing and location both look right, use the provider's support route.
Freezing picture
Confirm it is the intended live event, then work through the steps below.

Steadying a stream

  1. 01Check for app and device updates, then restart the device.
  2. 02Power cycle the router and check the connection.
  3. 03On mobile or browser, lower the video quality from the player menu.
  4. 04On YouTube TV, if broadcast delay is set to Decrease, switch back to Default: a smaller buffer can mean more interruptions.

These steps follow YouTube TV's troubleshooting guidance; other apps have their own controls. No single change is guaranteed to fix playback.

An antenna as a backup

Over-the-air viewing has no subscription bill, though equipment may cost money if you do not already own it. It needs two separate checks: that your TV receives the local station, and that the station lists the game. A clear picture of a station showing another game will not change with a rescan.

AntennaWeb predicts reception by address as a starting point. Connect the antenna, choose the TV's own tuner rather than a streaming app, and run the over-the-air channel scan (Air, not Cable, on televisions that ask). Internet channel services such as Samsung TV Plus do not carry the broadcast signal. Test well before game day.

Where to Watch FAQ

Can I watch on my phone?

Yes. NFL+ carries live local and primetime games on phones and tablets, and the FOX Sports app works on mobile with a TV provider sign-in.

Can I watch NFL+ live games on my TV?

No. Live local and prime-time regular-season games on NFL+ are limited to phones and tablets and cannot be cast to a TV, even with Premium. Premium replays and eligible out-of-market preseason games do work on supported TV devices.

Does NFL Sunday Ticket show every Vikings game?

No. It covers eligible out-of-market Sunday afternoon regular-season games only. Games on your local channels, national broadcasts such as Sunday Night Football, digital exclusives, preseason and playoff games are excluded.

How can I watch the Vikings in the UK?

Check Sky Sports' NFL listings and NFL Game Pass on DAZN. DAZN blacks out two selected Sunday afternoon games live each week, but night games are exempt, and blacked-out games are available on demand 24 hours after they finish.

Is there Spanish-language coverage?

Telemundo Deportes' 2026 coverage includes Sunday Night Football in Spanish across Telemundo/Universo and Peacock. For radio, the Vikings listed Tico Sports on WREY 94.9 FM and 630 AM for the 2026 opener; confirm the station for each game.

Where can I listen on the radio?

Live play-by-play runs on the Vikings Audio Network, including KFAN 100.3 FM and KTLK AM 1130 in the Twin Cities, with pre-game coverage starting two hours before kickoff.

Questions about a single matchup, which channel, what time, which stream, are answered inside that matchup's guide above.
