Start with the access you already have
Your current setup Where to look What must be checked
A television package with FOX Your local FOX programme guide The channel is included and the selected game is listed.
YouTube TV The local FOX listing within your plan Availability for your location and subscription.
FOX One The local FOX game offered through your subscription The event and purchase route are eligible for your location.
NFL Sunday Ticket The game's availability within Sunday Ticket This fixture qualifies as out of market where you are watching.

The table is a starting point, not a confirmed availability result for an individual address. Regional carriage for November has not been established here. The teams meet twice, so check the Vikings season schedule if you want the other meeting.

Read the note for your subscription

Your television package or YouTube TV

Check what you are already paying for before you look at anything else. Open the channel lineup for your own package, then open the programme entry for Sunday 1 November at noon Central and read which game it names. A general page advertising NFL coverage does not answer that; the dated listing does.

Two things are being checked here, and they are not the same. Whether FOX is carried in your package is one question. Whether your market is being given this particular game is another, and it is settled market by market. Suppose a viewer in Detroit opens their guide and finds Vikings at Lions listed on their local FOX station at 1pm Eastern. They already have the broadcast. Buying a second service to watch the same feed would add a charge without adding access.

If you plan to watch through an app rather than the television itself, confirm which app your provider currently supports, whether your subscription tier is eligible and which devices it covers. A television subscription does not automatically unlock every FOX-branded service. YouTube's NFL viewing guide sets out how local coverage differs from the separate subscriptions below.

A FOX One subscription

FOX One is a route to local FOX programming, which is a narrower thing than it sounds. It does not hand you every regional game on the schedule; what you get is what FOX is putting out where you are, so the same market question applies. The YouTube guide linked above documents FOX One as a Primetime Channel. Buying directly from FOX instead is a separate arrangement, with its own terms, and should be checked on its own pages rather than assumed to match.

Already paying through another service

Check which subscription you actually bought, which platform you bought it through and how that platform expects you to watch. Subscriptions do not necessarily carry across apps or billing platforms, so confirm all three before adding a second payment for the same coverage.

An NFL Sunday Ticket subscription

Sunday Ticket's category is eligible out-of-market Sunday afternoon games, and the important half of that phrase is out of market. Games being shown on your local station are excluded from it by design, which means the service is the answer only when your own market has been given something else. It can be bought standalone through YouTube without a main YouTube TV plan. The official Sunday Ticket availability page covers eligibility and purchase routes.

Suppose a subscriber searches Sunday Ticket for this matchup and finds it is assigned to their local station instead. That is the system working as intended, and the route has to match the assignment: watch it locally, on the access already owned. Do not reason from which state you live in or which team you support, and do not read a coverage map published for the current week as evidence about a November fixture. Check the dated event and the provider's own location result.

What this comparison does not establish

The table tells you where to look. It does not tell you what you will be charged. Before paying, confirm that this specific event is included rather than the service in general, then check the total charge, the billing period and what happens at renewal. A monthly subscription, an instalment plan and a one-off event purchase are three different arrangements with three different exit points, and not every provider offers all three. Read what is actually on offer at the point of purchase rather than assuming the option you would prefer exists.

Then check the screen. Smart TV, browser, phone and casting support are set by the provider and vary between them, so confirm the one you intend to use is covered before the day. Nothing here is based on testing picture quality or reliability. Outside the United States, rights are sold country by country: check the broadcaster and account terms for your own country rather than treating any US service named here as a worldwide answer. If you simply want to know what is on now, today's Vikings game is quicker than this page.

Signing in, both meetings and UK viewing

If you already pay for television, FOX One supports provider sign-in at no additional cost for paid TV packages that include the relevant FOX networks, as set out on FOX's provider registration page. That does not cover every internet account or every tier sold by a participating company, and a successful sign-in does not confirm that your local FOX station has this game.

Planning to watch both Lions games? They ask different things of a subscription: this one needs your local FOX broadcast on a Sunday afternoon, while the 20 December rematch is a national NBC broadcast that also streams on Peacock. Plenty of plans carry both networks, but the local FOX assignment is the part that varies by address, and a service chosen for November establishes nothing about December.

In the UK, the noon CST kickoff is 6pm GMT on the same Sunday. US broadcast details do not establish UK coverage, so check Sky Sports' listings and NFL Game Pass on DAZN, remembering that DAZN blacks out two selected Sunday afternoon games live each week. The international viewing section of the hub explains both services.

Before adding another subscription

  • The event matches the date and venue shown above.
  • Your current package has been checked for the game.
  • The selected service confirms availability for your viewing location and device.
  • You have checked the full charge and renewal terms.

Check the fixture in the game centre. Looking for the Minnesota home meeting instead? That is Lions at Vikings in December.
