Cookie Policy
Exactly what this site stores in your browser, and how to change or clear it.
Short version: this site sets no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies and no analytics. It sets one cookie to remember your cookie choices, and a few pages use your browser’s local storage for small conveniences that never leave your device.
What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. Local storage is a similar feature that lets a page keep a little information on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage is not sent to our server with each request.
What this site uses
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
mnv_consent | First-party cookie | Records your cookie choices, so the settings banner does not keep appearing and optional categories stay off unless you turn them on | 180 days | Necessary |
mvio.bt.safety.v1 | Local storage | Remembers which steps you ticked in the ticket safety checklist on the Vikings vs Bears ticket guide | Until you clear site data | Necessary (only set when you tick a box) |
pk-ledger: followed by a checklist item name | Local storage | Remembers which checklist boxes you ticked on the Vikings vs Packers ticket ledger | Until you clear site data | Necessary (only set when you tick a box) |
None of these items identify you, and the local storage entries are never sent to us.
Consent categories
- Necessary (always on): storage the site needs to work as you would expect, including remembering your cookie choices. The items in the table above all fall into this category.
- Analytics (off unless you opt in): the site currently runs no analytics, so nothing in this category is set.
- Marketing (off unless you opt in): the site currently runs no advertising or marketing tools, so nothing in this category is set.
If we ever add an analytics or marketing tool, it will be listed on this page first and will only run after you opt in to that category.
Changing your choices
You can review or change your cookie choices at any time:
Clearing what is stored
You can remove everything described above by clearing the site data for minnesotavikings.io in your browser settings. Look for “Cookies and site data” or “Privacy” in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. This removes your cookie choices and any ticked checklists; the settings banner will ask again on your next visit. Nothing is kept anywhere else, so there is nothing further to request from us.
You can also block cookies entirely in your browser. The site will still work, but it will not be able to remember your choices.
Third parties
No third-party content is loaded on this site. There are no embedded videos, social media widgets, ad networks or analytics services, and our fonts are hosted on our own server, so no outside company receives a request when you view a page.
When you follow a link to another site, such as an official team store, a broadcaster or ESPN, that site may set its own cookies under its own policy. We have no control over or visibility of those.
Changes
We will update this page, and the date below, before any new cookie or storage item is added.
