Role in the Vikings Receiving Unit
Jordan Addison adds speed, route precision and explosiveness to the Vikings passing attack. His ability to create separation and make plays after the catch helps stretch defenses and open opportunities for the offense.
Minnesota drafted Addison 23rd overall in 2023 to play opposite Justin Jefferson, and he has started there since his rookie season, when he caught 10 touchdown passes and earned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month honours. He followed that with 9 touchdowns in 2024, a total that left him tied with Sammy White for the most receiving touchdowns by a player in his first two Vikings seasons.
His 2025 season was shortened by a three-game suspension to start the year, and production dipped to 42 catches for 610 yards. Minnesota exercised his fifth-year option on April 27, 2026, keeping him under contract through the 2027 season as a core piece of the receiving corps alongside Jefferson.
