Series overview

An occasional series with one huge exception

The Minnesota Vikings and Las Vegas Raiders have never shared a division, so the two teams typically meet only once every three or four years in the regular-season rotation. The one meeting that towers over the rest is Super Bowl XI, played after the 1976 season, in which Oakland beat Minnesota 32-14 to win the franchise's first championship.

Outside of that game, the series has been close and has recently tilted toward Minnesota. The Vikings have won each of the last three meetings, dating back to 2015, including the December 2023 game at Allegiant Stadium that finished 3-0, the lowest-scoring NFL game in sixteen years.

Las Vegas is not on Minnesota's confirmed 2026 regular-season schedule. This page is a historical and statistical reference, not a preview of an upcoming game.

Minnesota started backup quarterback Nick Mullens, who went 9 of 13 for 83 yards, while Las Vegas managed 171 passing yards from Aidan O'Connell but could not find the end zone.

Franchise comparison

Vikings vs Raiders: franchise comparison

Minnesota opened the 2026 season with a 39-22 home win over Green Bay on September 13. One game is not a meaningful season sample, so this is a franchise-level comparison rather than an in-season one; current-season team comparisons become more useful as the season progresses.
